Pingfang district signs deals worth $2.95b with Shenzhen

Pingfang district in Harbin and Luohu district in Shenzhen agreed to strengthen future cooperation in education, the economy, and trade on Dec 13.
A signing ceremony was held in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province on Dec 13 for this agreement and also 52 investment projects, totaling 19.49 billion yuan ($2.95 billion).
The projects range from technology high-end equipment manufacturing, financing, aviation and organic food to innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Pingfang district will get a makeover as investors move funds there to upgrade the region and boost an industrial transformation.
Information from the government of Pingfang district reveals that 38 Shenzhen businesses will invest and settle in Pingfang district, with a total investment volume of 17.46 billion yuan.
Representative investment projects include a robotic industry park, European-style commercial complexes, as well as modern electronic information technology projects involving ZTE Corporation –– China’s leading telecommunications and information technology provider.
