Harbin holds Sino-Russian hiking expedition

A total of 150 hikers from 10 countries explored the beautiful forests of Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province during the Sino-Russian Snow Mountain Hike Expedition held on Dec 24.

The competition was held at Harbin Xianglu Mountain National Forest Park, which belongs to the Changbai mountain range.

Hikers passed the park's main scenic spots, allowing hikers to fully enjoy the ancient cultural sites and picturesque natural landscapes along the route, including thick primitive forests, snow -covered mountains, rivers and glaciers.

The competition is one of the winter tourism activities jointly sponsored by the National Sports Bureau and Heilongjiang Provincial Government.

Ceremonies reflecting the culture of Northeast China were held before the competition, as well as other winter entertainment activities.


 

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
