Yogurt industry forum held in Harbin

The yogurt industry is becoming a new economic growth point in Heilongjiang province, according to information from the 1st China Yogurt Branding Innovation and Development Forum held in Harbin on April 26.
The forum was a platform for business representatives and exporters to discuss the latest yogurt production technologies and explore the development trends of the whole industry.
In recent years, the yogurt industry in China has maintained a high growth speed, with an annual output value of 100 billion yuan ($15.72 billion). It is anticipated that the market will reach 200 billion yuan in 2020.
Zhang Yili, director of the dairy industry administration office of the Heilongjiang Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau, said that there were 79 diary processing and production businesses in Heilongjiang province in 2017, and that the total output of yogurt exceeded 210,000 tons. The yogurt industry is playing an important role in boosting economic development throughout the province.
