An international art festival targeting young people from both China and Russia opened in Harbin, in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on May 10.

The northern city is famed for its Russian-influenced architecture and is often dubbed “East Moscow”.

The festival features a 10-meter long watercolor and a further 100 paintings reflecting landscapes, daily life, and the culture and folk customs of Russia and China.

It is hoped that event will further boost cultural ties between the neighboring two giants.
