Qunli music fountain entertains park visitors

A new music fountain in Qunli Jinhe Park, Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, opened on June 12.
The fountain, which covers an area of 16,000 square meters, uses a large computerized system, based on the most advanced design and manufacturing technologies in China, to regulate its operation.
The system has 1,849 spray-heads, 656 water pumps and 2,259 underwater LED lights. The height of the main fountain can reach as high as 100 meters when the performance starts.
According to its performance schedule, the music fountain “performs” twice each day –– from 10:40 am to 11 am, and from 7:30 pm to 7:50 pm.
During festival holidays, additional performances will be put on for visitors, with some performances extended beyond the normal time.
