The 2018 China-Africa Investment and Production Capacity Project Match-making Meeting was held in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on June 15.

It’s a platform that aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation among Heilongjiang and countries in Africa, as well as help businesses in Heilongjiang expand markets into Africa.

China and African countries have already signed cooperation achievements in sectors of investment, financing, agricultural technology, customs improvement and trade facilitation, playing an important role in helping China establish friendly relationships with the African countries involved.

In recent years, Heilongjiang has seen significant growth of economic and trade contacts with African countries, with investment in fields of exploitation of mineral resources, motorcycle manufacturing, agricultural cooperation, and furniture manufacturing in Africa.

The two sides are anticipated to develop more investment and cooperation in modern agriculture, green food, tourism, fashion, biomedical and health industry, big data industry, as well as energy and chemical industry.
