Russian governor visits Harbin

A delegation led by Mironov, governor of Yaroslavskaya Oblast in Russia, visited Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on June 17.

Zhang Qingwei, Party chief of Heilongjiang and the Chinese president of China-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee, warmly welcomed the delegates and introduced the achievements made during the Sino-Russian local cooperation forums and the conditions of Heilongjiang’s cooperation with Russia.

Zhang said that Heilongjiang and Yaroslavskaya Oblast have a longstanding friendly relationship on culture, tourism, education, science and technology communications and cooperation, which benefits both the sides. He expressed his hopes for more of such activities to be held in the future.

Mironov echoed Zhang’s suggestions and said that more economic and trade cooperation projects are expected to push forward the development of the relationship between the two sides.

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
