Harbin businesses to showcase advantageous products in China-Russia Expo

Around 120 business representatives from 49 key businesses in Harbin will represent the city at the fifth China-Russia Expo, which is scheduled to take place in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia from July 9 to 12.

Exhibitors from Harbin will set up 30 exhibition booths, to mainly promote products in the sectors of equipment manufacturing, IT information, trade service, agricultural product processing.

Additionally, high-tech products of 3D printing, e-commerce service platforms, VR technologies, cloud computing and agricultural big data will be staged at the expo.

There are 21 exhibitors in the sectors of equipment manufacturing, technological innovation and trade service, accounting for 80 percent of the total.

Representative businesses in Harbin, involving Harbin Pharmaceutical Group, Harbin Bearing Group and Harbin Modern Group, have confirmed their participation to the expo.

China-Russia Expo, as a platform enabling both countries to increase economic ties and promote the signing of agreements between Russian and Chinese firms –– showing off the various strengths and advantages that each country has to offer, has been successfully held four times.
This is the second time the event is held in Russia, with the first two and the fourth taking place in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province.

This year’s expo is themed around “new starting point, new opportunity and new future”.

The expo will showcase the latest products and technological innovations in equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, resource development, agriculture, forestry, engineering, finance, logistics, power, and education.

Currently, a total of 11 provinces and municipalities, as well as around 170 large-scale Chinese businesses in China, have registered to take part in the event.

The exhibition area of the expo covers 8,500 square meters, with China’s exhibition area accounting for 5,518 square meters.

The China exhibition area is split into two parts –– the comprehensive exhibition area and the commercial area. Products and technological innovations in the sectors of equipment manufacturing, agricultural cooperation, and trade and services, will be on display in the commercial area.

In addition, the expo will host 28 commercial events – including China-Russia forums, China-Russia conferences on transforming innovations, meetings, and exchanges in fields such as electromechanical production, technical standards, mining, finance, customs cooperation and intellectual property protection.

The expo is being jointly hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the provincial government of Heilongjiang.
