The sixth Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo is being held at Harbin International Exhibition and Convention Center from Sept 14 to 18.

This year’s event is focused on speeding up the development of the organic food industry, while promoting Heilongjiang’s production advantages.

The expo features around 1,800 booths, with a total exhibition area covering 68,000 square meters.

There are three exhibition areas in total, focusing on exotic delicacies, soil conditions, and the future of the organic food industry.

Around 1,100 businesses from more than nine countries and regions, including Malaysia, France, Russia, South Korea and Indonesia, are attending the Heilongjiang expo.

Consumers will not only have the chance to purchase the products on display at the expo, but also taste cooked food in the experience area.

An additional nine activities are set to take place during the event, including the third Heilongjiang E-commerce Development Forum, forums on environmentally-friendly agriculture development models, and a matchmaking meeting for poverty alleviation projects. The activities will help display the achievements of Heilongjiang’s organic food industry, as well as provide platforms for technology firms to seek partnership agreements.

The expo was first held in 2013 and has since become an important event for the province and the national organic food industry to promote their products to overseas markets.
