Marine Culture and Education Alliance established in Harbin

Marine Culture and Education Alliance was established in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on Sept 18. It’s the first alliance of its type in China, hoping to provide a platform for members to conduct in-depth cooperation and strengthen resource sharing, as well to improve the marine culture and education awareness of the public.
Activities of the alliance will include symposiums, exhibitions and popularization of scientific knowledge.
The first batch of memberships of the alliance includes Dalian Ocean University, Fuzhou University, Guangdong Ocean University, Hainan Tropical Marine Institute, Jimei University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Ocean University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Ocean University, China Ocean University, Deep Ocean Science and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Science, Quanzhou Marine Environment Monitoring and Prediction Center and China Maritime Museum.
