Heilongjiang Department of Culture and Tourism was officially established in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on Oct 25.

Zhang Xiaolian, director of Publicity Department of Heilongjiang, Cheng Zhiming, vice-governor of Heilongjiang province, attended the nameplate unveiling ceremony held on Oct 25.

According to the Heilongjiang Institutional Reform Plan, the newly-established department will be responsible for the duties previously carried out by the Heilongjiang Culture Department and Heilongjiang Tourism Development Committee.

Zhang Lina, director of Heilongjiang Department of Culture and Tourism, said that the establishment of the new department marks the beginning of a new era integrating the development of culture and tourism.
