Harbin food import expos to open soon

The 2019 Harbin Cold Region Expo and Import Food Expo will be held at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center from Jan 5 to 7.
Around 300 businesses from home and abroad have confirmed participation at the expos, including 16 international exhibition groups from Greece, Japan, South Korea, Russia, France, Ukraine and Bulgaria, according to information from a press conference held by the organizing committee on Dec 26.
This year’s expos will feature more international exhibitors than in the past, with foreign companies making up 45 percent of the total.
Sponsored by the government of Harbin, the expo will showcase foods from around the world. Several exhibition areas will display organic foods, snacks, dairy products, wine, tea, beverages, cooking oil and dietary supplements.
The expo is set to feature around 550 booths, with a total exhibition area of 12,000 square meters.
Around 1,000 food brands from more than 30 countries and regions, including Russia, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand, have confirmed their participation at the expo.
Consumers will not only have the chance to purchase the products on display at the expo, but also get a chance to taste food being cooked in the experience area.
An additional four activities are set to take place during the event –– the 2019 Belt and Road Harbin International Food Summit Forum, the Global Red Wine Tasting meeting, a coffee making experience event and the top 10 cheese brands selection conference.
