The 14th Heilongjiang International Culture Industry Expo is being held at Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center, providing a platform for culture communications and international buyers to seek cooperation opportunities and sign business deals.

The expo, which is scheduled to run Aug 16-19, features three exhibition halls and the Sunshine Hall that will combined display over 100,000 cultural items. The exhibited items include paintings and calligraphy works, handicrafts, paper-cuttings, sculptures, high-end jewelry, publications and interior decorations.

In addition, more than 20 performances integrating the cultural elements of Heilongjiang province will be staged, and around 100 national-level craftsmen will demonstrate their skills at the expo.

The third Heilongjiang Sports+ Expo, the second Fitness Masters Competition and the third Heilongjiang Culture Brand Culture Festival will also be staged.

Organizers said that with its theme “strengthening Heilongjiang-Guangdong cooperation, establishing a cultural province”, the expo provides a platform for Heilongjiang to promote its booming culture industry and boost the integration of the creative cultural industry with tourism, sports, fashion, finance and the internet.

The expo is sponsored by the Heilongjiang Tourism and Culture Department, the Heilongjiang Commerce Bureau and Heilongjiang Publishing Group.
