The 2019 Harbin Development Match-making Meeting was held in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on Aug 16.
The conferences, carrying the theme: “New Era, New Mission, Mutual Cooperation and Common Development”, attracted the participation of around 600 businessmen and government officials from Heilongjiang province, Harbin and Ningbo.
Huang Wei, vice mayor of Harbin, talked about the business environment in Harbin and expressed his hopes that more Ningbo businesses could invest in Harbin.
Huang explained that Harbin is embarking on the development of a “4+4” modern industrial system. This is based on four leading industries -- processing agricultural products, advanced equipment manufacturing, modern biomedicines, and culture and tourism -- and the four key industries of information, new materials, finance and logistics.
Huang also promised that Harbin would continue to improve its investment environment, entrepreneurial environment and development environment to attract funding from Ningbo companies.
Yang Changren, vice president of the Heilongjiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a speech in which he said that Harbin New Zone should be the first choice of investors -- as the zone is planning to establish the Sino-Russia Emerging Industrial Park.
This, he said, will be an industry cluster gathering capital and resources from Heilongjiang and Zhejiang provinces, as well as Russia and serve as a platform for Sino-Russia economic and trade cooperation.
In addition, several agreements were signed at the meeting. These included an innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation accord between the Ningbo Chamber of Commerce in Heilongjiang Province and Harbin Engineering University, and the Sino-Russian New Era Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Ningbo Chamber of Commerce in Heilongjiang Province and the Russia-China Cooperation Promotion Association.
