The winter schedule aims to boost the integrated development of aviation and tourism in the city, as well as to help Harbin airport build itself up as an international air hub in Northeast Asia.
Harbin airport switched to its winter flight schedule starting Oct 27 and it will run to the end of March, officials said.
During the winter flight season, 53 airlines will operate at Harbin airport, including 37 domestic airlines and 16 international airlines.
There are a total of 1,560 flights every week linking Harbin to 113 destinations at home and aboard, via 201 flight routes.
Of these, weekly international flights will total 95, an increase of 14.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
In addition, an additional 14 new destinations will be added this winter season, including domestic flights to Shiyan, Beijing Daxing, Ulanhot, Urumqi, Xishuangbanna, Xinzhou, Manzhouli, Zhangjiakou, Zunyi, Handan and Yuyang.
Officials added that it would also mark the first time for Xiamen Airlines, Chengdu Airlines and Juneyao Air to operate international flights at Harbin airport. Destinations will include Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Jakarta in Indonesia, Da Nang in Vietnam, Osaka in Japan and Vladivostok in Russia.
The number of flights linking Harbin to Seoul and Osaka will also increase, mainly operated by Southern Airlines and Jeju Air.
