An ice sculpture exhibition by Chinese artists kicked off in the Russian capital of Moscow on Dec 24, according to the organizers.

A total of 10 ice sculptures are currently on display.

They depict the local conditions and customs of China and Russia -- and the achievements that have made since of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Russia and the Belt and Road Initiative Strategy.

The ice sculptures were crafted by a team of 10 skilled ice carvers from Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, over a 10-day period.

The exhibition is sponsored by the publicity department of the Harbin municipal Party committee, to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia.

It will run seven days until Dec 30, according to Harbin publicity officials.

At the same day, a tourism and culture promotion meeting for the Chinese city was held at Harbin, promoting it as a must-visit ice and snow sightseeing destination and the Culture City of East Asia.
