That’s according to a statement released by Harbin customs, in response to the situation where the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread abroad, with severe epidemics now occurring in individual countries.
The new policy requires all inbound travelers to fill in a health declaration card and undergo temperature checks.
The customs bureau will strictly check traveler’s health declarations, with a focus on travelers who show abnormalities such as a fever and respiratory problems, who have been in contact with people suffering from fever or cough -- and will closely examine travelers’ travel history and accommodation over a 14-day period.
It will also conduct full epidemiological investigations of inbound travelers from countries or regions with severe epidemics.
Customs officials said they were reminding travelers to actively cooperate in answering relevant questions truthfully, protecting their own health while avoiding infection.
Confirmed cases, suspected cases, symptomatic persons and close contacts found at the customs will be transferred.
There they will undergo nucleic acid detection and sampling and receive quarantine observation, diagnosis and treatment.
