Competition heats up at Harbin snow sculpture contest

The 21st Heilongjiang Snow Sculpture Competition concluded on Friday at Sun Island in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
 
The four-day competition attracted 15 teams from across the province. A total of 15 snow sculptures were completed.
 
After fierce competition, the sculpture by a team from Mudanjiang won first prize.

"Our team has three members with an average age of 37," said team head Zhong Yihai. "The sculpture about fighting against COVID-19 shows great love and selfless dedication are great powers that can save lives." Awards in different categories were also authorized for teams and individuals who performed well.
 
The three teams with the highest scores will represent Heilongjiang in the 27th China Snow Sculpture Competition, which will be held at Sun Island on Dec 22.
