Student ice sculpture contest wraps up in Harbin

The 18th Heilongjiang College Students Ice Sculpture Competition concluded on Sunday at Zhaolin Park in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

The three-day event attracted 400 contestants from 40 universities across the province, including Harbin Normal University, Heilongjiang University, Harbin University of Science and Technology and Qiqihar University.

After a fierce competition featuring a total of 80 sculptures, eight of them won first prize.

All the sculptures will be displayed in the park as a part of the Harbin Ice Lantern Exhibition, which is expected to open to the public on New Year's Day.
