Photo exhibition to showcase Harbin's ice, snow art achievements

An exhibition of photos depicting Harbin's glorious achievements in ice and snow art over the past 58 years will kick off in Westred Square on June 25.

The exhibition is meant to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and will be open for free to the public for one month.

The exhibition will be divided into two sections. One area will display 33 photos of large ice buildings and snow sculptures.

The other features 199 exhibits of snow ink paintings since the 1960s, photos of classic works in ice and snow sculpture competitions, ice and snow activities, and humanities since the 1980s.

In addition, the exhibition will include various exhibits of things such as ice and snow carving tools, ice and snow culture books, and ice and snow cultural and creative products since the 1960s, with more than 500 items on display.

The exhibition will showcase the vitality of ice and snow art in Harbin through a combination of pictures and objects.
