The credit commitment program being applied by the Harbin business environment construction and supervision bureau – located in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province – was recently awarded the honorary title of "Characteristic Sample of the National Credit Commitment Letter".
 
The honor was recently jointly granted by China Reform Daily and the National Center for Public Credit Information.
 
The Harbin credit commitment program reportedly stood out from 435 applicants and became one of the 33 to obtain the honor.
 
The Harbin credit commitment program is said to be the only award-winning undertaking of its kind in Heilongjiang province, marking a new level of standardization of the social credit system in the city.
 
In recent years, Harbin has implemented the national and provincial decision-making and deployment on the establishment of a social credit system and promoted a credit commitment system.
 
The Harbin Administrative Approval Credit Commitment System Implementation Plan was also issued, forming a city-level administrative approval credit commitment list containing 92 items.
 
Market entity credit commitments were made 84,000 times in recent years in terms of approvals and substitutions, certification matters, tolerance acceptance, industry self-discipline and credit restoration.
