Ice sports sweep Harbin

With the Beijing Winter Olympics approaching, an ice sports fever has swept the city of Harbin. The ice sports center at Daoli district in Harbin - capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province - opened to visitors on Jan 1.
 
The center is located in the area enclosed by Tieshun Street, Xiangzheng Street and Guxin Road and has a floor area of 3,962 square meters with an 1,800-sq-m ice rink.
 
Indoor venues are not subject to climate-related and seasonal restrictions and are open all year round.
 
The center set up various ice sports fields for speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey, ice skating, curling.
 
In addition, the center is equipped with changing rooms, showers, public toilets and other supporting facilities.
 
To promote ice and snow sports, the center provides public benefit time for 31 hours to the public, schools and sports schools, as follows:
 
Public time 6:00-8:30, 12:15-13:15 from Monday to Friday
7:15-8:15 on Saturday and Sunday

School time 13:30-15:00 from Monday to Friday

Sports school time 19:00-20:00 on Tuesday and Thursday
                               8:30-9:30 on Saturday and Sunday
