The first session of the 16th Harbin Municipal People's Congress will kick off on March 13 and end on March 15.
 
It will summarize the city's economic and social development and the development of democracy and the rule of law over the past five years, determine the development goals for the next five years and tasks for this year, and elect new municipal government officials.
 
Meanwhile, the first session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Harbin Committee will run for three days from March 12 to 14.
 
The performance of the 13th CPPCC Harbin Municipal Committee over the past few years will be reflected upon at the conference.
 
The work of the 14th CPPCC Harbin Municipal Committee will also be planned, and the chairman, vice-chairman, secretary-general and standing members of the 14th CPPCC Harbin Municipal Committee will be elected.
 
During the conference, CPPCC members will submit proposals and strive for new breakthroughs in the comprehensive revitalization of Harbin.
 
All preparation work for the aforementioned meetings has already been completed.
