Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, recently launched emergency plans to ensure the supply of daily necessities due to the temporary closing of the Harbin Hada Agricultural Products Wholesale Market due to the ongoing epidemic.

According to the plan, vegetables once transported to the Harbin Hada Agricultural Products Wholesale Market will be sold at Xiangfang Longyuan and Songbei Ruiheng. The latter will increase vegetable supply to satisfy citywide demand.

The Harbin Yurun Agricultural Product Purchasing Center will serve as the transit site of the Harbin Hada Agricultural Product Wholesale Market to ensure the stability of the whole city’s vegetable supply.

Meanwhile, Harbin will further strengthen market monitoring and evaluation and smooth transportation channels.

It will monitor and analyze the prices, purchases, sales and stocks of 16 types of commonly used daily necessities and bring 30 types of vegetables under key monitoring to strengthen early market warnings.

A green channel for the transportation of daily necessities will be established to ensure the smooth passage of vehicles for the transportation of daily necessities in the city.

To prevent people from gathering and offer more convenience, online shopping channels for 60 markets in the city were recently released by the Harbin commerce bureau.

The supply of daily necessities in Harbin is currently stable, ensuring that the normal consumption needs of the city's residents are met.

Moving forward, Harbin will closely monitor market dynamics, increase the organization and dispatching of supply sources, and make every effort to ensure sufficient market supply.

In addition, Harbin will comprehensively increase supervision over the market and crack down on behavior such as driving up prices or illegal hoarding.
