Harbin holds activities to boost consumption

The events are sponsored by the China Hospitality Association, Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Commerce and Harbin municipal government.
The food festival will run until July 7 and the expo will run for three days until July 1.
They aim to further boost consumer confidence, speed up economic recovery and accelerate the recovery of the service and tourism industries.
A series of activities will be held during the events, including a highlight of the 2022 Green Food and Ingredients Investment Promotion and Procurement Matchmaking Meeting and an exhibition and exchange of famous food from Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces.
Other events include the First China BBQ Industry Development Conference and CHA China Gourmet Cooking Championships.
Information from the Harbin municipal commerce bureau shows that the exhibition set up at the Harbin center covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters, attracting the participation of 252 catering, food, supply chain, and other notable enterprises in Harbin and more than 180 enterprises with well-known domestic food brands.
Additionally, discounted prices for food will be offered to Harbin residents through both online and offline channels.
