Harbin, the capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, officially sent out an invitation to the world to create its new promotional slogan for "Knowing Harbin" on Nov 22.
 
The solicitation activity will continue for 30 days and end on Dec 21.
 
According to the requirements, the promotional words should be concise and catchy, showing the beautiful image of Harbin in one sentence.
 
They should closely focus on reflecting Harbin's unique characteristics. These could include the city's urban development strategy, wetlands, ice and snow, European cultural influence, and music.
 
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel. This panel is composed of members of the publicity department of the CPC Harbin municipal committee, the Harbin bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism, the Harbin Daily, the Harbin Radio and Television Station and other appointed experts.
 
After three rounds of evaluation, 30 slogans will be selected and pushed to internet platforms for voting. Each work will be rewarded 1,000 yuan.
   
In the next phase, 10 of the 30 entries will be selected based on the number of online votes, the organizing committee and expert opinions. A prize of 2,500 yuan will be rewarded for each entry.
 
Finally, the organizers will choose one of these 10 entries as the best promotional slogan for Harbin and the winner will be rewarded 30,000 yuan.
 
The promotional slogan will be officially revealed at the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival's opening ceremony, which is scheduled to be held on Jan 5, 2023.
