Construction completes on main sculpture of Harbin Ice and Snow World

The construction of the main ice sculpture in Harbin Ice and Snow World was completed on Dec 14, marking major progress in the completion of the entertainment park.
Harbin Ice and Snow World is a highlight of the annual ice and snow festival in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province.
The ever-popular extravaganza will feature exquisite ice and snow sculptures, entertainment performances on ice, as well as an array of ice-and-snow-related activities.

It was constructed with a total of 11,000 cubic meters of ice.
The main body of the "the Crown of Ice and Snow" is the Ice and Snow Monument, which is composed of 24 icicles placed vertically, symbolizing the 24th Harbin Ice and Snow World.
The design of the main tower is based on the lilac flower, which is the symbolic flower of Harbin. The petals form a crown shape, which is majestic, sacred and solemn.
