Lanterns bring New Year festive cheer to Harbin

In the run-up to New Year's Day, the city of Harbin in China's northernmost Heilongjiang province is festooning itself with red lanterns to create a buoyant and festive atmosphere.
Around 2,000 red lanterns will be used to build a cultural lantern corridor on Harbin Central Avenue.
