Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, made it onto the case list for China's famous night-tour cities.
 
Meanwhile, Harbin Central Avenue was selected as an innovative development case in the tourism and leisure blocks category.
 
The announcements were made at the ninth China Tourism Industry Development Meeting, which was sponsored by the China Tourism News in Beijing on Jan 16.
  In recent years, Harbin has cultivated and upgraded its night-time economy consumption scenarios and launched nine themed activities.
 
It has also upgraded its characteristic night markets, and supported scenic spots such as the Harbin Ice and Snow World, the Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo, and the Harbin Ice and Snow Carnival. This was done to develop these locations and events into top-tier fantasy ice and snow night tours.
