The first session of the 14th National People's Congress successfully kicked off in capital Beijing on March 5.
 
The central government's work report was delivered, which triggered an enthusiastic response and much discussion among deputies from Harbin, capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province.
 
This year, a total of 14 deputies from Harbin attended the NPC session.
 
The government work report mentioned "promoting the healthy development of the private economy, boosting private investments, improving the nation's property rights protection system, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of entrepreneurs, and promoting entrepreneurship".
 
"These policies have reassured entrepreneurs and strengthened our determination to start a business!" Li Yin, a company representative and Harbin deputy, said.
 
Jin Donghao, a Harbin deputy to the National People's Congress, has been accelerating rural revitalization and development for many years.
 
During Jin's research process in Shangzhi and other places, he would earnestly strive to understand the local work in rural revitalization. Jin conducted in-depth research on issues such as pesticide packaging recycling, the outpatient reimbursement ratio of urban and rural medical insurance and other issues.
 
This year is the first year that Zhou Xiaolong has undertaken duties as a deputy to the National People's Congress. The topic he focuses on is how Northeast China can employ and retain high-quality talents.
