To mark the 14th World Tiger Day, a special event focusing on Siberian Tigers was held at the Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on July 29.
The Siberian Tiger Park is a significant venue for the countdown to the 9th Winter Asian Games to be held in Harbin in 2025, 200 days from now. It is also the birthplace of tigers Binbin and Nini, the mascots of the Games, who are now nearly one year old.
In a festive gesture, the park prepared a giant cake for guests and visitors. Giant mascots of Binbin and Nini joined the guests in cutting the cake, wishing the Chinese athletes all the best at the upcoming Winter Asian Games.
Guests had the opportunity to visit the tiger viewing area, where they were delighted to see Binbin and Nini. These young tigers, weighing nearly 50 kg, were healthy, lively, and full of energy.
Adding to the cultural richness of the event, intangible cultural heritage inheritors from across the province showcased their skills with tiger-themed creations, offering a unique and artistic experience for visitors.
