China Roller Skating Marathon Open shines in Harbin

The 2024 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Harbin Station) commenced in grandeur in Songbei district of Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Aug 11.
The competition, divided by race distances, featured a full 42-kilometer roller skating marathon along with 18km, 12km, 6km, and 3km roller skating races.
After intense competition, Wang Yue from the Baoding Sports School clinched the championship in the full 42-kilometer roller skating marathon.
This marks the second time the China Roller Skating Marathon Open, which is a national-level event, has been held in Harbin. The event is the second-largest of its kind nationwide and has earned high praise from the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Roller Skating Association.
The event is said to inject new vitality into the development of the sports industry and economic growth in Harbin and Heilongjiang province as a whole.
