National Ice and Snow Fun Week kicks off in Harbin

The 2024 National Ice and Snow Fun Week commenced with a grand opening ceremony at Harbin Ice and Snow World in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Aug 19.
This year's event, with the theme "Joyful Ice and Snow, Wonderful Summer," features a variety of activities, including the 2024-2025 National Public Skiing Technique Standards Competition and public ice and snow classes.
These events are designed to allow the public to fully enjoy the health benefits and joy of winter sports, promoting the expansion of ice and snow activities throughout all seasons. This initiative continues to strengthen and expand the achievement of involving 300 million people in winter sports.
The National Ice and Snow Fun Week, established by the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China in 2018, is a nationwide event celebrating ice and snow activities.
It aims to offer a series of refreshing and enjoyable winter sports events for the public and marks a major step towards implementing the national fitness strategy. It is also a testament to the continuous enhancement of public sports services.
