The Harbin Agricultural Expo Fair is hosted by the Harbin Municipal People's Government, Heilongjiang Provincial Agriculture Commission, Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Administration and Heilongjiang Logging Administration. In 2011, all of the eight districts and 10 counties of Harbin joined in the Harbin Agricultural Expo Fair.

The theme was “Science and Technology, Green, Cooperation and Development”. All of the exhibits on display were brand-name, quality products at the national, provincial or municipal level. Products with Heilongjiang regional characteristics were displayed at the expo, including mountain delicacies, fresh fish products, rice, mushrooms, flowers and plants. The expo attracted 816 enterprises, including a South Korean group with more than 100 enterprises. A total of 200 Taiwan enterprises brought Taiwan-featured food to the Ice City.

During the Harbin Agricultural Expo Fair, a series of activities were held, including a promotion conference for Harbin’s green and characteristic agricultural products, a Food Security Summit Forum, a food production and marketing docking trade, the Harbin-Taiwan Agricultural Products Fair, and an agricultural machinery products fair. The expo received more than 300,000 visitors and saw a trade volume of 11.42 billion yuan with 251 signed projects. A total of 59 intent agreements with a total volume of 11.38 billion yuan were signed.
