The China Harbin International Manufacturing Exhibition is hosted by the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and sponsored by the Harbin municipal government. It is jointly organized by the Provincial and Municipal Trade Promotion and other authorities.

It is a professional manufacturing exhibition approved by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, which aims at the implementation of the nation’s revitalization strategy for Northeast China. It is the only national-level international professional manufacturing exhibition held in Heilongjiang. It is also an A-level project for Harbin’s important activities. In 2011, the 11th China Harbin International Manufacturing Exhibition attracted more than 50,000 visitors from home and abroad, including 3,000 professional buyers. The total volume of trade reached 2.92 billion yuan. It hit record highs both in visitor numbers and turnover.
