As the May Day holiday approaches, Harbin is set to launch a series of themed activities, tourism products, and cultural and tourism consumption promotions.
 
According to the plan, the city will open 60 A-level scenic spots, including the Alejin Island National Wetland Park and the Jinhewan Wetland Botanical Garden, where visitors can explore the wonders of wetlands.
 
Meanwhile, the Songhua River Light Show is set to make its official debut during the May Day holiday.
 
Centered on the Flood Control Memorial Tower and overlooking Sun Island across the river, the show will synchronize with the Taiyangdao Bridge and the Binzhou Railway Bridge, running every hour from 6 pm to 10 pm and showcasing a rich, multi-dimensional, and culturally distinct urban nightscape.
 
Harbin will also launch sightseeing opportunities, cultural and historical exhibitions, rural tourism, folk activities, personal car tours, cycling tours, night tours, and more. Additionally, six themed mobile buses will be introduced, aiming to create all-new experiences by integrating food, culture and travel.
 
From April 30 to June 10, the Harbin municipal government will issue 5 million yuan ($684,931.15) in cultural and tourism consumption vouchers in an effort to increase spending related to culture and tourism.
 
The vouchers can be used for hotels and accommodations, scenic spots, vacation routes, and various forms of entertainment.
