A night sightseeing ferry route operating by Harbin Transportation Group recently started serving the summer tourists coming to the elegant capital of China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province, the Harbin Daily reported.

Officials with the operator said the service starts at 18:30 and ends at 22:00 every night.

The ferry departs Daowai Qidao Street Station, passing through Binzhou Railway Bridge, the Harbin Flood Control Memorial Tower, Jiangshang Club, Jiuzhan Square, Renmin Square, Laotou Bay, Gonglu Bridge, Qunliwaitan, Taiyang Bridge and Harbin’s scenic landmark Sun Island, before returning to the start point.

Officials said the entire trip takes around 30 minutes.

It takes tourists along the south and north banks of Songhua River, giving them an opportunity to admire the charming night views of Harbin city and the river scenery.

In addition to the night sightseeing route, the ferry company is planning to open another two daytime river sightseeing routes and two special tourist routes.

These routes will take tourists to Sun Island and the natural wetlands along the Songhua River.
