A festival to promote autumn tourism in Yabuli town of Harbin, the capital city of China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province, began on Sept 26.
The festival is sponsored by the Yabuli ski resort management committee of Harbin’s municipal government, and it is in response to the concept “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.”
Activities during the festival include cross-country self-driving tours, cycling on Yaxue Road, climbing Jingfo Mountain, a paragliding experience and a short video challenge to showcase Yabuli’s charming autumn scenery.
Yabuli is a famous ski resort in China and the training base for China’s national winter sports teams.

The town has unique climatic conditions, with a snow retention period of up to 170 days. Its cold climate makes Yabuli the perfect place to develop snow entertainment and related sports activities.
Also, Yabuli possesses rich hot springs, lush forests and water reservoirs, and is the home of China’s Yabuli Giant Panda House.
