Harbin listed as top 10 destinations for summer self-driving tours

Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, was listed as one of the top 10 destinations for summer self-driving tours.
That's according to the 2023 Summer Self-Driving Tour Report released by China's online travel service provider Ctrip on Aug 1.
The report showed that this summer's number of domestic self-driving tour bookings increased by over 80 percent compared to last year, a growth of 352 percent compared to the same period in 2019, making this summer the busiest for self-driving tours in the past five years.
"Self-driving tours have become one of the most popular tourist travel options. The growth in demand for self-driving tours and the expansion of the licensed but non-car-holding population have provided a user base for the car rental market," said Song Zhen, CEO of Ctrip Car Rental.
Harbin to implement 10 projects in 2023
Harbin will invest 11.4 billion yuan into constructing 10 projects throughout the year.
