Starting on March 28, the 13 airports under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Airport Group began operating the summer flight schedule.

Under the new schedule, the airports in China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province operate a total of 4,469 flights every week, a year-on-year increase of 6.5 percent.

Heilongjiang’s airports have 266 operational domestic and regional flight routes in total, an increase of nine flight routes compared with the same period last year.

Of which, Harbin Taiping International Airport in Heilongjiang’s capital city operates 3,439 flights every week, a year-on-year increase of 7.0 percent.

Harbin’s airport has added 13 new flight routes and six destinations and increased the frequency of flights to Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Changsha and Guangzhou to satisfy passengers’ travel demands.

In total, Harbin’s airport operates 195 flight routes connecting the city to 97 domestic and regional destinations.

Currently, the airport runs 24 flights to Shanghai, 21 to Beijing, 13 to Shenzhen, 12 to Guangzhou and more than 11 to Changsha, Yantai, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Qingdao and Jinan each day.

Due to the lingering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, international flight routes are still suspended, with the exception of the three flights from Harbin to Tokyo in Japan and Seoul in South Korea.

Heilongjiang’s airports will make prompt adjustments to the flight schedule and route options in response to changes in the global pandemic situation.
