Day 3 Wetland scenery tour [summer travel route]

Hulan Estuary Wetland Park is perfect for a summer day trip or longer to get in touch with nature  and relax.

Located in the northeast of Harbin, Hulan Estuary Wetland Park gets its name from the estuary where the Hulan and Songhua rivers meet. Occupying 38.5 square kilometers, it’s the largest urban natural wetland in China.

Sightseeing areas provide views of natural wetland landscapes, an aquatic sports center and a traditional culture park.

Breathtaking natural scenery and water birds, the highlights of the park, can be seen in the morning.

In the afternoon, you may immerse yourself in the cool water or lie on the beach sunbathing to ease the fatigue from the first two days. The park has a large area with access to water and a 340,000-square-meter natural beach, so you won't need to worry about finding a spot.

If you're in the mood for more active outdoor sports, the park also provides sightseeing boat services, self-piloting ship charter services, fishing services, beach motorcycle and bicycle riding.

There is a bus traveling between the downtown areas and the wetland park. The bus sets off at Carrefour Supermarket at 8am and returns from the No 1 gate in the park at 4pm.

The round-trip tickets are 20 yuan per person and need to be ordered online or by phone one day in advance.
