The 9th Harbin Western Cuisine Culture Festival, jointly organized by the China Hospitality Association and the Harbin bureau of commerce, is set to commence on July 26 and will run through July 31.
 
With the tagline "Savoring Harbin's Summer, Indulging in Western Delights," this edition of the festival promises a plethora of activities and exciting highlights.
 
The festival will feature an opening ceremony, a parade of floats and teams, a showcase of Harbin's century-old Western cuisine culture, a carnival of time-honored brands, a Russian seafood tasting exhibition, restaurant promotions, and more.
 
During the festival, attendees can look forward to engaging activities such as chef-led demonstrations on cooking guobaorou (fried pork in sweet and sour sauce) and complimentary tastings of this iconic dish. These offerings aim to showcase the unique culinary charm of Harbin to visitors and locals alike.
 
The festival is an important way to promote Harbin's culinary culture and enhance the city's brand recognition.
 
The Harbin Western Cuisine Culture Festival has previously been held eight times, with the 6th festival in 2017 earning Harbin the title of "China's Western Cuisine Capital" from the China Hospitality Association.
