Chinese Baroque Historic and Cultural Block approved as 'new art organization and new art group

The China Federation of Literary and Art Circles recently approved the establishment of the third batch of "new art organization and new art group" gathering and practice bases, with the Chinese Baroque Historic and Cultural Block in Daowai district, Harbin, among the selected locations.
 
The Chinese Baroque Historic and Cultural Block is home to a vibrant community of new art organizations and groups, including musicians, visual artists, photographers, tea experts, ceramic artists, sugar sculpture artisans, and intangible cultural heritage craftsmen. The block currently hosts 15 new arts organizations and over 200 new art practitioners.
 
The block has adopted a cultural industry management model, emphasizing the unique attributes of Chinese Baroque architecture, folk cultural activities, and the display of intangible cultural heritage items.
 
It aims to create a multifaceted space that combines traditional cultural exhibitions, folk experiences, business tourism, entertainment and gourmet dining.
 
The cultural resources of the block are rich and diverse, featuring a strong traditional commercial culture, culinary culture and folk culture. According to statistics, the block boasts three pedestrian streets, three century-old alleys, 74 distinctive buildings, 25 unique courtyards, four squares and over 60 special cultural activities.
