The China Railway Harbin Group announced on Oct 27 that the hot sliding test for the electrification renovation project from Weihe to Yabuli South Railway Station had been completed. This marks the completion of all railway infrastructure renovation projects for the 2025 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin.
 
Starting in April this year, the China Railway Harbin Group initiated six railway infrastructure renovation projects. These included renovating the Yabuli West Railway Station building, upgrading facilities at Yabuli South Railway  Station, updating equipment at Yabuli Railway Station, and renovating the electrification from Weihe to Yabuli South Railway Station.
 
During the Asian Winter Games, Yabuli West Railway Station plans to increase high-speed train services to 40 trips, while Yabuli South Railway Station will operate three special winter train lines. One line will be a direct regular-speed train from Beijing to Yabuli South Railway Station, facilitating direct travel for visitors from other provinces to Yabuli.
 
Extra trains are also expected to be added based on passenger demands.
