Harbin conference boosts China, Russia economic cooperation

The conference was attended by Li Haitao, vice-governor of Heilongjiang province; Titov Boris Yurievich, Russian chairman of the Sino-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee; Zhang Hanhui, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation; and Oshepkov Vladimir Platonovich, consul general of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin.
During the conference, a nameplate unveiling ceremony for the International Trade Facilitation Center of the Harbin Area of the China (Heilongjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Russian-funded Enterprise Alliance was held.
The letter of appointment for the chief experts of the Russian Service Expert Advisory Committee was also issued.
Meanwhile, the Administration of the Harbin Area of the China (Heilongjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone signed eight framework cooperation agreements at the conference, while six Sino-Russian cooperation deals with a total contract amount of 2.05 billion rubles were also signed.
The first Russian Activity Week was also initiated on April 19.
Over a 10-day period, a platform targeting Chinese and Russian enterprises will be established for commerce, technology and trade negotiation.
