In the first three quarters of 2023, the total import and export value of Heilongjiang province's goods trade hit 218.22 billion yuan ($29.89 billion), an increase of 15.1 percent over the same period last year, according to data from Harbin Customs.

The growth in trade ranked Heilongjiang seventh in the country, beating the national growth rate by 15.3 percentage points.

Exports stood at 54.09 billion yuan, up 49.1 percent; while imports were at 164.13 billion yuan, marking a 7.1 percent jump.

These outstanding results can largely be credited to the efforts by the provincial capital Harbin to create a new situation of high-quality development, as well as its continuous exploration and upgrading of new business formats and models for trade with Russia.

Harbin is working tirelessly to promote the coordinated development of trade, investment, channels and platforms, while also exploring new avenues and pilot opportunities in such areas as market access and institutional opening up.

It is building a cross-border e-commerce + industry cluster model, and providing Chinese brands with high-efficiency, low-cost cross-border circulation solutions by providing cross-border logistics, supply chain and comprehensive overseas services.
