Tourist train Y681 carrying 260 tourists left Harbin East Railway Station in China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province to travel to Hailaar in Hulunbuir city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region at 9:09 pm Aug 14.

An official from China Railway Harbin Bureau explained that it was the first cross-province tourist train operated by the bureau this summer.

To promote the resumption of work and operation of tourism enterprises, China Railway Harbin Bureau is providing customized tourist train services.

Currently, the Harbin bureau has launched tourist trains to popular destinations in Heilongjiang province, as well as those in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia. The trains connect Harbin, Heilongjiang’s capital city, to Mohe, Qiqihar, Fuyuan, Tongjiang, Yichuan, Arxan and Hailaar.

Soon, tourist trains running from Harbin to Mudanjiang, Hulin and Heihe cities will be opened.
