A festival to promote Harbin tourism in the fall kicked off at the Haohanbo Water Reservoir in Yabuli town on Sept 26, according to local officials.

Activities during the festival will include autumn scenery sightseeing, mountain climbing, self-driving, fruit and vegetable picking and biking, and others.

Officials said a total of 35 travel routes covering 16 mountains, more than 30 scenic areas and 95 parks in Harbin have been launched.

A series of policies, including discounted tickets, free tickets and tourism souvenirs, are anticipated to attract lots of tourists.

The festival also features a photography competition, where winning works depicting the charming landscape and authentic traditional folk customs of Yabuli will be on display during the 2020 Spring Snow Festival.

The festival has been held for seven consecutive years to promote Harbin in the fall tourism market.
